This painting was made as a healing for someone .
Healing paintings are made with ritual and prayer
to connect with the energies being petitioned-
always the highest Source.
Such paintings continue to 'transmit' the gentle power from
Source, like windows between the worlds.
BIRDSONG TREE OF LIFE

to bless the unfolding path. The tree of Life is
a subject most suitable for this intention as
we are all held within its sheltering branches,
all connected and part of Creation.
HARE GAZING

I was feeling the presence of a garden in moonlight,
how the flowers still glow and shimmer.
then as i worked the hare appeared and
a path was made to the moon.
The gold feathers are a symbol of blessing.
DRAGONFLY MEDICINE

The 'medicine' of a creature is its unique presence
and power in the world.
Dragonfly is connected to water energy,
and energies into the air
when it is time to spread its wings.
It is a fierce defender of its territory as it
patrols its paths with focus and purpose.
AN ALIGNMENT OF STARS

I was asked for help to bring cam and balance
to a house that had uneasy energy.
I asked my guiding spirits for
a piocture to help with this situation.
I visioned it clearly in sacred creative space,
and made the picture - really loving the
many spirit figures singing
around the central presence.
I do not ask how this works, but it does.
The only explanation I received was the title.

The physical trees that we see around us
have energy fields that extend beyond their leaves and roots.
This tree image depicts one such energy field.
through its roots it connects across miles and is
in communication with its kin.
If we take time and stretch our own awareness,
we may sense that energy field...
A PLACE OF MESAS

this tells the story of a moment when I sought
healing for myself in shamanic trance.
In this altered state of consciousness
spirits came and built an igloo like structure
around me using their mesas -
sacred medicine bundles - as 'bricks'.
Within this sacred spirit space
the healing began. through contemplating the picture,
the healing continues.
